Rainford’s Butterflyfish (Chaetodon rainfordi) is generally not considered reef safe and is best suited for fish-only or fish-only-with-live-rock (FOWLR) aquariums. They are known to nip at stony corals, soft corals, clam mantles, and tube worms. While they may ignore crustaceans, their diet consists heavily of corals in the wild.
